Speaker: Mr. Mohammed Akhtar, Vice President Motorola

In our ongoing Speaker Series, the Mobile Consumer Lab welcomed Motorola's Mr. Mohammed Akhtar, Vice President, Global GSM/UMTS Products and Country Manager for Japan, Middle East & Africa to campus.

Mr. Akhtar first gave an Open Lecture on "The Future of Wireless Communications - Growth Strategies with A Regional Focus" followed by a private Q&A session with members of the Mobile Consumer Lab. Within this lecture, Mr. Aktar clearly explained the synergies between LTE and WiMax, presenting us with a very clear roadmap for the future evolution of these advanced wireless broadband technologies. Our very deep appreciation and thanks to Mr. Aktar for helping us to understand these very important issues!

Mobile Consumer Lab invites Mr. Takeshi Natsuno, Managing Director of Multimedia Services at NTT DoCoMo for this Friday's VIP Lecture Series. Mr. Natsuno is one of the most influential members of NTT DoCoMo's original i-mode team. Because of his efforts to create and manage i-mode, Business Week magazine ranked him as one of the world's "MOST INFLUENTIAL E-BUSINESS LEADERS" in 2001.
He will provide all of us with perspectives on how to effectively lead in today's rapidly changing business world.
